The Analysis in Life Science is examining samples to find out the structure, the behavior and sometimes the quantity of the sample. Biological data analysis is complex and requires highly flexible analysis tools. An Analysis consists of several parts that are to be executed in succession to reach the defined goal. The Research Projects in Life Sciences make intensive use of IT tools to manage, store, retrieve and particularly secure the produced data. But despite recent advances in workflow based high throughput data analysis, little effort has been made in development of new mechanism for automated storage, integration and management of the analysis data flow. Therefore, each research assistant should find his way of securing, storing the data in a way that he can understand and retrace when needed. Without preserving (or preserving in an insufficient way) the input/output data and the information about how the analysis is made, an analysis will be irrelevant and not reusable in a very short time. Research assistants are still using simplest methods to protocol what and how they made the analysis and store them in an unstructured, insecure way. The analysis results are being stored in the same way as well which is a barrier for the quality assurance of analysis.
